foundfamilies: (I have the urge to hear a person speak)

[ Leslie frowns when he references the the residents’ feelings toward the Mirrorbound. She’s experienced being hated for no good reason in her own world, but those people deserved any bad things that might come their way, as far as she’s concerned. Being hated or feared by people she wants to help is new to her and it’s not a comfortable feeling.

The question is one that surprises her a little, though. She’d immediately (correctly) assumed that Geralt was here to help deal with the attacks from the creatures. Shouldn’t it be obvious why she’s there, too? Maybe he means what she’s specifically doing to try to help....

(Leslie may one day properly internalize that only one person she’s met here so far has been willing to accept her claim that she isn’t a child anymore.) ]

I heard someone talking about building a wall, so I’ve been asking about missing people and where the creatures have been seen. If it’s all happening in one place, then maybe they can find a space between water that’s short enough, since it’s said the creatures can’t swim...but I don’t think I’m going to get enough information for that.

[ She looks down at a notebook in her hand where she’s taken down notes about the things people told her. There’s a few entries on it about missing people, but there’s only one where someone told her where the creatures were seen.

Some people are desperate enough from worrying about those who have gone missing to talk to anyone, even a Mirrorbound child. Almost no one is going to take the time for a much less directly helpful question. ]

At least I can look for the missing children. [ She’s probably about the same size as the missing children. ]
