    It's going to take her some getting used to, this idea of me being a mom. But, well, we've got nothing but time here, as most of us have found. I definitely want you two to know each other.

    You're a part of my life. If she wants to be part of it again, that includes you.

    In all honesty, Akko has her own stuff to work out with Croix. But I don't see Akko holding a grudge, either. She's not really the type.

    Well, while it may seem surprising to myself, most people who know me well enough have said it's no wonder... Apparently everyone just kind of assumed I'd make a good mom. [ Chariot laughed, a nervous lilt to her voice. ]

    So I guess I'm the only one who never expected something like this...

    Well there have been challenges, sure, but I think I got pretty lucky, with you. You're pretty independent as it is.

    I don't have to worry about you near as much as I do about Akko.
