[ Between the head tilt and that somewhat restrained bark, Zack can gather that the wolf is a little confused about his full moon changes. It would make sense, since in this form, Cloud's never seen them. Maybe he hasn't even seen them when he's human, as they tend to avoid each other during this time. Zack's always seen that as a bad idea, honestly.

If they planned this all out in advance, he wouldn't have to deal with rude awakenings. He'd just know this was a part of the full moon experience and plan for it. That's something he can discuss with Cloud later, though.

Still, here they are. There's little point in complaining about it now. Somehow, this full-grown wolf covered in mud ends up sprawling out on his lap, and there's really no questioning what he wants.

Zack stares down for a moment, then up to the wolf's bright, expectant eyes. Man, if Cloud knew about this, he'd never forgive him for going along with it. But he's also not going to remember, so... ]

Is that really all you wanted? Couldn't it have waited?

[ For all his grumbling, Zack's smiling to himself as he reaches down to administer the belly rub, though it's not soft stroking so much as an aggressive shake. That seems to fit better with the wolf's general energy level. Of course, it also means that soon enough Zack's hand is covered in mud. ]

Yeesh. You know, we should probably clean you off first...

[ That lick manages to catch Zack on the elbow, drawing a startled laugh out of him. He's not sure how this wolf gets away thinking that it can just plop down wherever it wants to sleep, and in truth, Zack should just kick it off of the bed and make it sleep on the floor. You know, like he might do if it was an actual dog.

Except the thing is, it's also Cloud. Cloud, who's usually doing his best to make sure that they're nowhere near each other during the full moon. It feels like Zack needs to encourage this behavior, even if it's only registered on a subconscious level. ]

Look, if you're going do that? You better make room.

[ And so Zack reaches over and shoves, making sure that the wolf is situated at the other edge of the bed, leaving enough space for him. Given that he's got wings to try and fit in as well, suffice to say it's a tight squeeze. Eventually he does find a way, even if it does mean his wings are partly on the floor, draped over the side of the mattress.

The morning is going to be interesting, but Zack will deal with that later. He's tired enough that he isn't going to give this entire strange situation too much thought right now. ]
