Quest Log: May, 2021

CITY-WIDE QUESTS

Quest #1 - Part-timers Wanted! (Aefenglom) - The following places are looking for part-timers for the month. Duties vary by shop, though all are paying 500-cunes per hour, five days a week.

Clockwork World - A shop specializing in working with gears, clocks, watches, and very tiny tools is looking for part-time repairers. Dainty hands are a requirement, unless you're skilled in dealing with very small objects; the ability to peer into a magnifying glass for hours on end without getting tired is much appreciated.
Batten Your Hatches - A group of ex-sailors who have decided the sea is no longer for them are hiring help for their new business, Batten Your Hatches, a ship repair and cleaning service that hawks their talents to those docking in the Harbor District after long journeys. Barnacle removal, leak repair, swabbing poop decks, upgrades and more. If ships are your thing, you’re hired! Does not require travel!
Sweater Weather - A very pinch-faced, traditional-thinking elderly woman is hiring anyone who can knit to help her produce enough sweaters to make these visitors from the islands cover themselves up. She is just positively scandalized by their light-weight, flowy clothing, often lacking sleeves, my gosh!, and thinks they should be dressing properly now that they’re in Aefenglom! Maybe you agree, or maybe you just want to earn some money knitting and try to convince her that other cultures can dress how they want, you know.

Quest #2 - Boaltinn Through the Storm (Aefenglom) - Boaltinn is a significant celebration in Aefenglom, marked by large bonfires central to the holiday, lit to herald in the coming of summer and fresh starts. Unfortunately, with all this rain the first three days of Maiuril, keeping a bonfire going after nightfall is a lot more difficult! Not to mention it seems like it will be more difficult to get people out of their homes to celebrate in the rain. Help is wanted in raising large, airy tents, pavilions, or other open coverings that will shield gatherings of people and still allow the bonfire tradition to be observed - it’s a soggy job, but you’re willing to help, right?

Sharing food and treats is a tradition easy to observe indoors, however, and patisseries, cafes and restaurants are also baking or cooking up a storm. So if your calling is more food-oriented, and you want to stay dry, there are also plenty of 'help wanted' signs in shop windows! Bakeries and patisseries especially are looking for help from artistically-inclined individuals to decorate their cakes and cookies for the festival in appropriately spring-inspired designs. For those who are artistic but no good with handling icing or chocolate, there's also significant demand for artists to help design and illustrate fortune-reading cards similar to Tarot decks, which have been quite popular lately. This is a great month of opportunity for anyone wanting some extra cunes in their pocket!

Quest #3 - Scentsational Samplers (Aefenglom) - A young Merrow named Tamsin is eager to inherit the parfumerie her late mother bequeathed her, Scentsation. Along with the deed, her mother has left plenty of notes and guidelines for creating the unique perfume oils and cosmetics the shop is famous for. Tamsin has made the first batch already and is offering free samples around the Entertainment and Shopping districts, trying to advertise her wares and make some sales that will draw attention to her store. Perhaps you’ve grabbed such a sample, or gotten it from someone else who picked one up or purchased a sampler pack. And though everything smells absolutely amazing, there's a bit of a… problem with some of these oils.

Tamsin certainly has a nose for composing unique scents, all being pleasant ones. However, she's still not entirely familiar with all the different ingredients her mother's shop is stocked with, and in her excitement to create new and unique perfumes and essential oils, she seems to have accidentally mixed in a few volatile ingredients that are now causing unexpected side effects in some customers.

Perhaps she accidentally mixed some items into the new spring flowers scent that belong in a love potion instead, causing the wearer to smell incredibly attractive to everyone else around, or maybe even causing the wearer to become more attracted to people around them. That fresh minty scent could accidentally cause you to become really cold instead; at least you'll smell amazing while cuddling up for warmth. Sweet vanilla increases desire to compliment and befriend others, encouraging a sweet and friendly disposition in the wearer and those who're nearby -- while the musky, more adult version of the scent takes it a notch further (for characters 18+) and makes them feel frisky and loose, lowering inhibitions.

And so on and so forth -- feel free to make up your own scents and related effects, from general mischief to spicier options. In fact, characters 18+ will even be able to purchase oils and perfumes encouraging sex and kinky exploration intentionally from Tamsin's pop-up shop in the Entertainment District, Sensual Sentsation, later in the month when the optimistic Merrow turns customer complaints about the side effects into inspiration to further her business venture!

WILDE QUESTS

Quest #1 - Helping Hands (Aefenglom) - The slums outside the Bright Wall have been slowly receiving assistance from the Coven and especially the Mirrorbound over the last couple of years, but their location so close to the Cwyld-infested forests always threatening to push closer has made it difficult to enact lasting change in the rates of infections no matter how many times healers go out to help. Until now. With the Cwyldheart destroyed and the leylines beneath the land cleansed, Nerissa Bell puts out a call for volunteers to jump on this new opportunity as soon as possible. This is their chance. For the first time in recent memory, the area outside the Bright Wall has a chance of being restored and protected.

A committee of Coven Witches puts together parties of volunteers to assist the citizens of the slums and sends out healers trained in handling minor Cwyld infections. For those out beyond the Wall who are too infected to be treated on the spot, the committee is trying to get the funds from Parliament to set up a treatment center, but it may be some time before such a formal solution is possible. In the meantime, volunteers are being sought to help in any way they can.

As always, the Coven asks you to be careful when interacting with infected individuals; though they're still within their right minds, becoming infected is a very real danger. Please wear gloves and a face mask when interacting with those showing symptoms of the Cwyld.

Volunteer duties include but are not limited to:

    - Medical aid: taking care of someone, healing, administering medicine in syrup, pill, or shot form, etc.
    - Entertainment: singing, dancing, acting, story-telling, playing an instrument, otherwise helping to bring cheer to those in need
    - Guards & Fighters: there are still some infected creatures roaming near or even in the slums, or occasionally individuals out of their right minds who might present a danger to themselves and others. The goal is always to get them help, so please be careful if someone needs to be restrained.
    - Donations: even if you can't go in person, you can always donate medicine, books, toys, cunes, supplies, etc.
    - Activism: anyone who has more influence with Parliament is also encouraged to participate on the political and activist side, putting pressure on Parliament where possible. Calling attention to the cause is also encouraged. This is the first time in years there's a reach chance to make a lasting difference outside the Bright Wall!

Quest #2 - Pretty Plumage (Aefenglom) - A familiar group of jewellers that asked for help in Deceuer once again reaches out with a request. This time, just like before, they’re asking to venture into the Wilde where the Snowbirds (smallish ground-bound birds with beautiful crystalline feathers that are known to be quite delicate; scared or distressed the birds turn brown and remain this way) usually nest, and make sure that the birds are safe after that whole hubbub with the Cwyldheart last month. Previously, the Mirrorbound cleared the place of infected foxes. This time, the representative wants to ensure they will still be able to emerge with the colder Wilde weather. While the city's craftsmen collect their feathers for monetary gain, they want to protect the birds. They even offer rewards for checking the place periodically, or if someone befriends the birds enough to bring feathers.

With winter settling into the Wilde and snow beginning to fall later in the month, the Snowbirds are approaching their mating season -- which means that young males are sporting long, delicately lacey tail feathers to attract their mates, adorned on the ends with what looks like a different snowflake design for each. These beautiful feathers also attract very wealthy buyers and fetch a pretty price on the market. Adventurers willing to help harvest these tail feathers will be paid handsomely, but are reminded again that the birds must be treated carefully and gently. It is possible to collect fallen feathers or gently pluck a few from each bird. Startling, upsetting, hurting or killing the animals makes all their feathers turn brown or even shrivel up and wither from the stress, rendering them worthless. Those familiar with the Snowbirds will advise that the best time to try to snag some feathers is during the male Snowbird's elaborate mating dance, during which he vigorously fans his tail and occasionally sheds feathers… or is at least distracted enough that he might not notice a couple being plucked.

HIGH RISK QUESTS

Quest #1 - A Whole New Wilde (Aefenglom) - With the Cwyldheart cleansed, the worst of the infection in the Silent Forest and the stretches of Wilde between Aefenglom and the Northern Outpost is also on the retreat. There are still pockets of it clinging to trees, plants, and animals even though the earth beneath them has been cleared out from below. The Wilders and the Coven are calling for volunteers to help track down pockets of infection and work on hunting and eliminating remaining Cwyldtid, especially those closest to the outskirts of Aefenglom. The goal is to expand the safe area of land as far as possible outside the Bright Wall, protect the people who live there, and eventually be able to cultivate more farmland.

Volunteers are asked to help with several tasks. Those equipped and confident enough to fight the infected beasts out in the forest will find plenty to hunt, and are encouraged to look for nests or groups of Cwyldtid. It is imperative to remove as many of them as possible to slow or halt the further spread of infection from the creatures interacting with other animals in the woods.

The same can be said for the plant life. Controlled fires need to be set throughout the forest, so Witches specializing in that type of evocation magic (and those Monsters with a more elemental affinity) are sought after, as well as those proficient in water magic and barriers. They must take care to burn only the infected portions and keep the fire from spreading.

This is a task likely to take some time as there’s a lot of ground to cover, but little by little, with everyone’s help, new plants may blossom after this Wilde winter.

Character(s): Momo
Quest Pickup: Helping Hands, A Whole New Wilde, Pretty Plumage and Scentsational Samplers. Whenever I manage to get a quest TL up, it'll probably be opens for the first two and the last, and closed/wildcard if anyone wants to do Pretty Plumage.
For Helping Hands and A Whole New Wilde, since Momo's been doing Out of the City consistently for a while, he definitely wants to seize the chance to try and clear out the infection in the Outer City, both by means of healing and cleansing fires. He's got pretty much the perfect ability set for this since he's specialised in barriers for an incredibly long time and has been brushing up on his fire magic in the last few months, plus having learned minor Cwyld healing methods late last year on top of normal healing magic since Abjuration in general is one of his specialty areas. So he's very flexible on where he can go in these missions and what role he can play, which I hope will make this one easier to get him into with a variety of characters!
For Pretty Plumage...well, he's going to be in the Wilde anyway and if he's scoping out places that need cleansing, he might as well check these birds are still alive while he's here. He has a gentle hand and is good at making both people and animals feel at ease with him, so he shouldn't have too many issues getting feathers.
For Scentsational Samplers, this would have to be gen options (or at most, Momo bapping other affected people into horny jail which I am open to for potential hilarity purposes if someone wants to wake up Exceptionally embarrassed about their conduct), so he may be chilly or overly friendly or any other random vaguely amusing thing I think of before writing a TL.
Anything else? Permissions just for general reference purposes.

Player: Angela
Character(s): Soren
Quest Pickup:
Scentsational Samplers is easy enough to get Soren mixed up in, and versatile enough to concoct a variety of different threads with different problems, conflicts, and/or effects. This is a good way to make him more friendly and willing to converse with your character or take interest in them when he otherwise might not. OR, we could go balls-to-the-wall and have the most bizarre effects; one idea I have, for example, is the urge to laugh at even the slightest hint of a joke, or anything funny at all. Silly threads, dramatic threads, horrifying threads... Even if you don't have an idea, all you have to do is express an interest and I'll pitch something.
A Whole New Wilde would be suitable for anyone Soren trusts enough to take with him out into the Wilde. While he has been reluctant to expose himself to the Cwyld in the past, this level of overall infection is safe enough and he has come to learn that it is possible even for a dragon like himself to gain resistance with repeated exposure. The common good of helping to eradicate yet more Cwyld is one goal, but he might also be out "shopping" for certain ingredients that he needs for potions and inks and the like... and possibly experiments!
Anything else? If you want to accompany him Underground while he collects some of that sacred corpse-eating moss (safety in numbers!) and he doesn't hate you inordinately or think you are a complete buffoon, that's also on the table. I also just realized I never put up a permissions page in all this time. All you really need to know about me is I have virtually no hard limits... but it never hurts to ask if you're not sure!

moss collection!! waver absolutely wants to collect some moss and ask underground folks if they're willing to share any research or further information about it now. he wants to try to incorporate it into some stuff for inkchanted and come up with cwyld protection tattoos at some point, so that'll be step one and he'd definitely appreciate soren's help!

[personal profile] silentsavant 2021-05-06 06:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Waver is one of the best candidates for being Soren's partner in... no-longer-crime. We can have something else happen down there so it doesn't run the risk of getting stale with just collecting moss and talking about moss and dry-ass nerdbabble... some kind of conflict, like maybe some passing monster ruffians don't understand what they're doing and are scandalized and threaten to beat them up, or a Shade or two show up, or wormipedes make things difficult. Something like that!

AND/OR they could talk about something more interesting while they do it too, like the new happenings with the monsters, or touch base with what happened on Waver's end after last month's event was over. Or they could reflect on how they've been here for so long and all the stuff they've been through.
tryhard: (how do I begin to explain Regina George?)

[personal profile] tryhard 2021-05-09 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)
these are all good ideas! it'd definitely be good for them to touch base

On second thought, though, maybe let's save this for next month since the moss thing will be pretty ongoing, and this month is busy! we can wrap up our April stuff and go from there? :3

Ferran Gallagher | OC | Fae

[personal profile] noblegarnet 2021-05-07 07:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Boaltinn Through the Storm

[You know what Ferran is really tired of? Every other damn holiday involving candles and bonfires. But especially the bonfires. The rain would have been a fantastic excuse to cancel that particular aspect of the tradition, except the locals are clearly determined to make the damn things happen anyway.

This Fae, in fact, is not willing to help. He has his own ideas in mind.

Under the cloak of an invisibility illusion, on the day of the first before everything gets started, he gets to work sabotaging their efforts: cutting hidden holes in tarp, leaving lighting materials out in the rain, even making things difficult for other Mirrobound who may have decided to assist. Suddenly, that pole someone was trying to stick in the ground just won't stay, or they find themselves slipping in mud constantly, or sneezing every time they almost hit that important nail.

Even though he's determined to stay undetected, the effects of the previous month's events still linger in his magic, occasionally making the glamor difficult to hold; a glimpse of brown hair or a red eye might be seen for the briefest of moments.]

Pretty Plumage

[Ferran, being both extremely cautious about entering the Wilde and also not an idiot, has stuck closely to a companion for this foray out to check on these crystalline birds. It may not have been the same one the entire trip, but he's been determined to stick with at least someone, in the interest of not getting ambushed and dying immediately. The way he's wrapped up almost entirely from the nose down in cloth and protective leather probably points out how anxious he is about the whole thing, even before the occasional spook that sends him up into the trees. Look, he's fine. He's got a bow he knows how to use, he's got usable wings... everything is great.

Venturing out to accomplish something that was, at least at its base, largely safe seemed like a good step to take in his attempts to prepare himself for any future situations. It's not that he's unfamiliar with dangerous situations. He's just... very much used to being able to do a lot more about them in ways that are impossible now. So he's taking a few baby steps and attempting some birdsitting.

He can't deny he's curious about the fauna of the Wilde, as much as he's also cautious about them. Birds that freak out and completely wither at the slightest sign of stress, though—well, isn't that a mood? His Fae nature only encourages that interest; even if he's a city boy at heart, he's found plenty to enjoy in the natural world, too, and it is kind of nice being able to experience it here, especially with the removal of the Cwyldheart supposedly making things a little safer.

... but also, he wants one of those feathers.

If he hasn't left navigation entirely to his companion, he'll be checking his map and compass for the fifteenth time.]

We should be close now, right?

boaltinn through the storm

[personal profile] sonnestark 2021-05-09 05:19 am (UTC)(link)
[Karin has always liked to seize opportunities to make herself useful, and Boaltinn marks the one-year anniversary of her very first visit to Aefenglom. Admittedly, she has mixed feelings about whether or not that's something to celebrate, but after being here as long as she has, she thinks she would like to participate in the festival properly this time. As such, she's been doing her part to assist in setting up, and is currently helping to raise one of many tents when she realizes there's a large hole cut in its ceiling as it unfurls.

Well. That's not going to be helping to shield anyone from the rain, and she groans as she drops the tentpole she'd been part way through setting up to the ground.]

That's the second one of these that's—

[Then, out of the corner of her eye, she spots a flicker of red and brown, just beyond where the tent is being raised— and where she sees some of the lighting supplies have been left out for the rain to ruin. She lets out a noise of frustration before abandoning her post and starting off in that direction, hoping to catch another glimpse of the culprit.]

Hey! Get back here!

[Little does she know...]
noblegarnet: (f: UM)

[personal profile] noblegarnet 2021-05-14 07:07 pm (UTC)(link)
[Uh oh.

While Ferran isn't as worried about being caught by a familiar face as he would be by someone he was less friendly with, there's a reason he's been trying to keep himself entirely unseen. When Karin calls out, he doubles down on his apparently-flickering invisibility, taking off into the sky so that at least it's more unlikely she'll manage to stumble into him. After all, there are only so many who can fly, especially in this weather... And even he's having some trouble, even if he can stay in the air long enough to get to the rooftops and find some proper shelter slash hiding places.

He doesn't think about the white and red scales he leaves a trail of in the process, even if the rain means they don't quite make the cloud they might have, and even he can't entirely predict the way the rain will bounce off of him and cover it with an illusion.]
sonnestark: (59)

[personal profile] sonnestark 2021-05-19 03:47 pm (UTC)(link)
[There may only be so many who can fly, but Karin is most certainly among them, having long since mastered the use of her wings. She comes to a brief halt in her pursuit when the trail seems to have quickly gone cold, but she does manage to glimpse those scales through the rain, however briefly, and she can't help but note that the color scheme is definitely familiar. Not so much that she could call out to him by name, not confidently, but...

Sighing heavily, she pushes herself off the ground with one foot and takes flight, bright crimson wings beating to keep her aloft, and she stops just short of where he hovers, unaware of his exact location even as she looks upwards and then surveys the area immediately surrounding.]

I know you're here somewhere. Is there something you need to talk about?

[There's a testy but concerned tone behind her words, and while she doesn't use his name, she definitely has her suspicions.]
noblegarnet: (f: x to doubt)

[personal profile] noblegarnet 2021-05-22 07:17 pm (UTC)(link)
[Of course she does actually then take off after him, and after a moment of exasperation at his luck, he's about to continue fleeing—but then he hears her question.

... Wait, what?

Slightly faltering moments of invisibility or not, he's sure he's not identifiable right now. There's no way she knows it's him, surely? Unless—no, definitely not. So she must be making some kind of assumption about the state of whoever's been making her job difficult... which isn't a great idea when it comes to most fairies, in his opinion.

A higher-pitched voice is the one that reaches Karin's ears through the rain, though not from the direction the Fae actually hovers.]

You're awfully generous, aren't you?
sonnestark: (54)

[personal profile] sonnestark 2021-06-04 02:10 pm (UTC)(link)
[It is dangerous to assume the best of most fae, but even without knowing the full gravity of the situation, Karin is inclined to be patient— as much as she can manage.

She exhales, closing her eyes for a moment and giving a nod to the formless voice that speaks to her.]

I like to think that most people act out for a reason, and not simply for the fun of it.

[Of course, there are always exceptions.]

Pretty Plumage

[personal profile] darkcharge 2021-05-16 11:41 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Vanitas knows his way around the Wilde pretty well. He goes out here often. Two weekends out of the month at least for well over a year and a half at this point. Traveling and moving along paths and trees and the thick brush is all pretty familiar to him. So is having someone alongside him. Most of the time he isn't able to get away from it. He had promised too many people that he wouldn't go out here anymore without someone else.

Not that he thinks he needs it anymore but... ]

Yes, but do you really want to pluck some birds or just grab what falls?
noblegarnet: (f: everything is perfectly fine)

[personal profile] noblegarnet 2021-05-17 05:40 am (UTC)(link)
[Vanitas is a trustworthy companion, as far as Ferran is concerned, and it helps to put the Fae at least somewhat at ease. Now that they're approaching their destination with little incident, he's especially relieved. Besides, it won't do any good with the birds if he's acting skittish.]

I'd like to think I'm decent with animals.

[Could he tame one or two of the birds and bring them back...? Hmm, no, that's probably out of his depth... maybe. But there's nothing saying he can't come back and acquire more of their feathers. And more feathers... is better.]

Plus, they'll only drop so many on their own.
darkcharge: (216)

[personal profile] darkcharge 2021-05-23 08:24 pm (UTC)(link)
[ Augh... So Ferran wants to get the feathers from the birds directly. It's not that this is really a problem. Vanitas has something of a solution. Rather he doesn't like how he would have to go about doing this. ]

I... Have a way of getting around that.

[ Just saying. But Vanitas' sour expression is telling. ]

But if you say anything about it, I will come after you.
noblegarnet: (f: x to doubt)

[personal profile] noblegarnet 2021-05-23 08:32 pm (UTC)(link)
[Ferran shrugs and shakes his head, exasperated with the defensive claim. From what he knows of Vanitas, he's the type to get embarrassed over sunshine and rainbows existing in his vicinity than anything actually worth judging...]

Oh, come on. What is it?

[Threat recognized and summarily dismissed.]
darkcharge: (130)

[personal profile] darkcharge 2021-05-23 08:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Certain magics have certain... Side effects. So to speak.

[ And Vanitas is someone who practices curative magic fairly often. Especially with animals... It has a rather calming side effect. An aura, really. So Vanitas finds a nearby rock to sit on. There's a reason he chooses this particular rock since it looks like some of the flora nearby could use a bit of magic.

That's why he spreads his hands out on the rock and concentrates. The process of healing the land nearby will, inevitably, draw out that "calming aura" that he's relied upon in the past to draw creatures towards him. ]

Momo | IDOLiSH7 | Witch

[personal profile] yesdoubt 2021-05-09 01:19 pm (UTC)(link)
[a: helping hands]

[Momo has been participating in efforts outside the Bright Wall for a while, but there's never been this good of an opportunity to take it further. Being that he's fairly experienced with curing lower-level Cwyld infections by this point, he's quick to join the renewed efforts in the wake of the Cwyldheart being destroyed, bearing both the magic he knows to deal with it and some of the "antiseptic" moss from the dead village near the Underground.

Though he's bundled up in full covering, gloves and a mask, there's a reassuring air about him nonetheless as he goes about his work, and many of the Outer City folk seem familiar with him, a few exchanging jokes or questions as he works on them. As he finishes up with another one, this one a very minor infection that he's wrapped in the antiseptic moss for the moment so it can do its work, he looks up for anyone who might've shown up in the meantime and need assistance.]

Need another set of hands or are you doing okay?

--

[b: a whole new wilde]

[The combination of magic types needed to help with the controlled burns just happens to be right up Momo's alley, which means he can match up with just about any other Witch who's coming out to help. Which means he's not terribly picky about who he heads out with, he's just going to ask the pertinent questions about how they're going to go about this before they reach the part of the forest they're doing the burns on.]

So, what's your magic specialty? I can do pretty much any of the parts of this, so if there's something you're best at then you can focus on that and I'll do the other bit.

[He's a bit more experienced with the corralling of the fire, but starting one doesn't exactly take a massive amount of experience in fire magic either.]

--

[c: scentsational samplers]

[Momo can be a bit cautious about trying out enchanted anything, but at least in this case it's an actual established business instead of goblins trying to sell fake enchantments or something like that. So he ends up picking up a sampler out of curiosity, and...well, it smells nice, but it reminds him why he's typically cautious about this sort of thing.

It's possible to find him having sprayed the minty scent and shivering a bit, despite the fact that he's wearing a jacket. Still, when he catches someone's eye, he'll try to cover it up and offer a grin, despite the fact that...he's definitely still shivering.]

Kinda chilly out today, isn't it?

[He may also be found with the vanilla scent, which really just makes him more bubbly and exuberant than usual in approaching people. Or perhaps he instead encounters your character having sprayed a scent, and sniffs it on the air a bit as he approaches them, like he's trying to figure out what it is.]

Oh, that's a nice scent...do you usually use perfume?

[Ferran, too, is covered from mask to toe, including a cloak that will hopefully keep the long tails of his mothlike wings safe from... like, plague-infested... feral cats... or something. Although his expression is almost entirely hidden due to that, there's an uneasy look in his eyes when Momo spots him, and he jumps a little at being addressed, audibly jostling the contents of the large box he's holding.]

I, uh—

[He holds the box out a little more emphatically than he should, probably. A little like he wanted to throw it and run but managed to stop himself in time.]

—brought supplies.

[He does not know where they go. He may have been told and then forgot it when he got out here and actually saw people who were infected. Knowing it going into it is one thing, but being here is another...]

[Even with the mask, it's definitely not hard for Momo to tell that the other man is uneasy - even before he jumps like that. While it's not quite visible under his mask, the reassuring smile he offers crinkles the corners of his eyes a bit as he takes the box.]

I'll find a spot for them. Is this your first time out here?

[He's presuming that from the reaction, mostly, but also the fact that he's pretty sure he sees traces of moth wing under that cloak, and he knows Fae are quite susceptible to Cwyld. He's not sure many of them would risk coming out here to help under normal circumstances, much the same as he'd be surprised to see Dragons doing it.]

[He lets out a self-depreciating chuckle at the question, knowing he's probably being ridiculous about this whole thing, even aside from being obvious. He brushes his gloved hands off, in lieu of anything to do with his hands now that Momo has taken the box.]

Yeah... tired of locking myself away every time a hint of the Cwyld comes around, you know. Thanks.

[He just has to remind himself that he was looking into the Circle at the beginning, and several of them were infected to some degree. He turned out just fine.]
yesdoubt: (why is it you use those tragic methods)

[Momo scans over the area briefly before spotting a gap in the supply boxes nearby where it looks like someone's taken something out, so he heads over to place the new one there, looking back to speak to Ferran.]

Well, it's reasonable to be careful if you're a Fae, but they are pretty strict on infection control stuff out here. And the good thing about working with this group is that pretty much every Witch knows how to treat minor Cwyld, so you can catch it before it gets too wild.

[Setting the box down, he brushes his hands off and turns back towards the other man properly.] Which part were you most interested in helping out with? Most of the Cwyld treatment parts are Witch-only anyway, since they're done with specific magic classes, but we always need people out here for stuff besides the medical as well.

[Technically, a Monster could probably make the alchemic minor Cwyld cure with enough practice, but he hasn't seen a lot of them go that deep into Alchemy.]
